Luke Lynch
Luke began his legal career in New Brunswick where he ran his own office. He was an instrumental participant in establishing the Legal Clinic for the Rutgers Off-Campus Housing Office, which offers free legal consultations to the Rutgers community. Most recently, he worked as an associate at the Law Office of Edward P. Shamy, Jr. in North Brunswick.
His experience with commercial matters includes the planning and formation of new entities (corporations and limited liability companies), collections, commercial leases, contract disputes, agreements relating to financing and shared ownership, and the sale of business property in part or outright.
Luke has handled many divorce cases and family law issues, including negotiating property settlement agreements, relocation and removal of children from the state, post judgment modifications, emancipation, and juvenile court matters. He volunteers one day each month with the Mercer County Family Court.
He provides services in Estate Planning, and would be happy to provide an illustration of the real value of estate planning through a Living Will, Power of Attorney, Last Will and Testament, and more nuanced techniques such as Credit Shelter Trusts, which all enable you to provide for the care and well-being of loved ones and maintain control over the disposition of your assets.
Real Estate has always been central to Luke's practice, and he has handled many purchases and sales of residential and commercial properties. In addition, he helps clients navigate the land use application process, whether simply for a single variance or for the development of a larger property with site plan approval.
Luke has served as prosecutor in both the North Brunswick and Hillsborough Municipal Courts. He has handled every class of municipal court case from both prosecutorial and defense perspectives.
Luke graduated from Vermont Law School and is a member of the New Jersey Bar. He currently lives in Princeton with his family.
Michael Osborne
After completing his clerkship in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Michael Osborne was employed by Stark & Stark, P.C. and McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter, LLP. His practice focuses on representing clients for a variety of corporate, securities and employment issues.
Michael has litigated cases in state and federal court, as well as before various administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, Department of Labor, Unemployment Commission, Department of Education, New Jersey Bureau of Securities, National Association of Securities Dealers, and New York Stock Exchange (now known as FINRA). Michael counsels and litigates clients on a variety of issues, including shareholder disputes, contract disputes, restrictive covenants, discrimination, harassment and regulatory matters.
Michael is currently a member and a former officer of the St. Francis Medical Center Community Fundraising Board (CFRB) located in Trenton, New Jersey. The CFRB enhances the fundraising efforts of the St. Francis Medical Center Foundation and cultivates new donors committed to supporting St. Francis Medical Center.
Michael graduated from Duquesne University and Quinnipiac Law School and is a member of the New Jersey Bar. He lives in Princeton with his wife Sue and his two children, Natalie and Jack.
Ruby J. Theivakumar
Prior to forming her own law practice, Ruby J. Theivakumar worked as in-house counsel for an information technology company managing its immigration matters. Ruby has represented clients for an array of employment-based and family-based immigration matters, including various non-immigrant petitions (temporary work visas (H,L , O, P, Q); visitors visas(B); student visas (F);TN visas; K visas), and immigrant petitions (Permanent Residence/green card). She also represented clients for Labor Certification/PERM applications, Naturalization applications and Visa applications at Consulates worldwide.
Although Ruby focuses primarily on Immigration and Nationality Law, she also practices Residential Real Estate Law. Her experience with residential real estate matters includes purchases and sales of residential properties.
Ruby graduated from Sri Lanka Law College and was admitted as an Attorney at Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka. She then earned her Degree of Juris Doctor from Rutgers University, School of Law-Newark and is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey. She is authorized under the Federal regulations to represent individuals before the USCIS in all 50 States. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), AILA’s Indian Subcontinent Association, New Jersey State Bar Association and Mercer County Bar Association. She was recognized on the Marquis’ Who's Who in American Law, 30th Anniversary publication of 2007 as an individual who has demonstrated outstanding achievements in her fields of endeavor and who has, thereby, contributed significantly to the betterment of contemporary society.
She lives in Princeton with her husband, Thevan, and her three children, Surein, Tharani and Kirrupan.
Alan Gilmore
Alan has experience representing broker-dealers, investment advisors and registered representatives in connection with securities regulatory, compliance, and arbitration matters. As a former investigative attorney with the New Jersey Bureau of Securities Enforcement Unit (“Bureau”), Alan is able to bring unique insight and professional representation in connection with federal and state regulatory proceedings.
While practicing with a major New Jersey law firm, Alan represented investors, brokers and broker-dealers in FINRA securities arbitration matters. Alan has also defended associated persons and licensed insurance producers in formal and informal regulatory inquiries by FINRA and state securities and insurance agencies. Alan has experience with the formation and registration of investment advisory and brokerage firms and the preparation of written supervisory and compliance policies and client agreements.
Previously, Alan worked as a compliance attorney in the Private Wealth Management division of Goldman Sachs & Co. (“Goldman Sachs”). As a result, Alan is able to provide “big firm” solutions to both broker-dealer and investment advisory supervisory and compliance programs.
Mr. Gilmore has obtained his Series 7, 9, 10 & 66 registrations (Registered Principal) and also maintains a New Jersey life & Health insurance license. Alan is a member of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bars as well as the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association.
T. Sandberg Durst
Sandy Durst brings his family law practice to Lynch, Osborne, Theivakumar and Gilmore after nearly ten years at two of New Jersey’s most prominent law firms. He represents men and women in all phases of family law and has extensive experience in the preparation of prenuptial agreements, establishing and enforcing alimony and child support, custody disputes, equitable distribution, domestic violence matters and grandparents’ rights as well as post-judgment applications.
Mr. Durst has been involved in substantial cases involving closely held business, interstate relocation of children and the valuation / distribution of significant assets. Based in Princeton, New Jersey, Mr. Durst represents clients throughout the State and routinely appears in Mercer, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Burlington, Ocean, Somerset and Camden counties.
